Villa Olimpia is a beautiful villa -- very spacious and well equipped. Our group of 16 people had plenty of room, and there are plenty of bathrooms. The owners were very friendly. We had some problems with the washing machine malfunctioning, and it is a small model that works very slowly when operating properly. The pool and grounds are also very nice and well kept. There are lots of VERY AGRESSIVE biting flies that make it difficult to relax and enjoy the pool and the yard. The villa is very isolated -- not near any towns or shopping, but we found it pretty well located for trips to Florence, Pisa, and other locations. We had cooks -- Lorenzo and his aunt Laurena -- come to the villa and prepare meals and clean up afterwards each night. They were fabulous, as their meals were delicious and reflective of the local cuisine and customs -- really recommend them highly.
