Really beautiful setting just a couple of mins drive from San Gimigano which is lovely. Apartment very nice, very clean and tastefully decorated. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Only down side is that a couple of the apartments allow for quite big groups. We were unlucky enough to have a couple with six boys aged between 8 and 18. They could fill the pool on their own and unfortunately their apartment was above ours and the noise coming through the ceiling was near constant. That being said we still had a fantastic time and would go back but would make sure we booked an apartment with no apartment above it ( we were in the Lunario)

Il Palagio was absolutely beautiful, the apartment we had was spacious, clean and had everything we needed, and we had a huge outside terrace just for us which was amazing. the grounds of the villa are beautiful and the pool was perfect, especially lovely was the outside BBQ and sitting room with rattan sofas and a big wood fire for you to book and use privately. our only slightly negative comments would be that for families with small children this is probably not ideal as the owners ask for people to respect siesta hours by being SILENT from 2-5 (my children don't do silent, especially not on holiday!) and avoid the swimming pool during those hours. As this is the main bulk of the afternoon it's not great for people with hot children wanting to play. Having said that, they seemed to be quite relaxed about the rule and as long as our kids weren't actually screaming we thought it was ok to use the pool during that time a couple of days. The area is stunning, with lots to see and do. Highly recommend this place!

wer das besondere liebt ist hier richtig eine schöne alte Villa sehr gut gelegen und denoch ruhig

A fabulous place in Tuscany. The house, grounds and pool were just perfect for our family who loved every minute of it. Ideally situated for trips to local medieval towns, Florence and Sienna. Claudio and Pilar were very friendly helpful and discreet. A pleasure staying and definetly recommend to others. Hopefully we will return.!
