My husband and I stayed with another couple at Il Granaino for 2 weeks in October 2011. Our hosts were gracious, available when appropriate, and caring about our comfort. The property is simply beautiful, and the house was spacious and well equipped for 2 couples. The location is very convenient for day trips in Tuscany by car. We also enjoyed a couple of at-home days during our stay as the Il Granaino accommodation was comfortable and peaceful, with a lovely garden to walk in and charming views of the valley. It was very convenient to have the family restaurant a few minutes away, as we could eat there in the evening if we wished, or just purchase some bread, cheese, meats and home-grown olive oil for eating at Il Granaino. We unreservedly recommend Il Granaino for a memorable Tuscan experience.

We spent 2 weeks at Podere Lo Spadino and would highly recommend it...it is an exceptional place!!! The home was more than comfortable for the six of us and views from this location are spectacular. (and there was plenty of hot water for all six of us!) Each day we would venture out - there is much to explore nearby...San Gimignano, Siena, Moltalcino, Florence, Volterra, the Chianti region,etc. and it was so wonderful to know that at the end of the day we had this special place to come back to. In the evenings we would sit out by the pool and watch the sunset or take a walk down the nearby quiet road. I can't say enough about what great hosts Barbara, Maris, and Antonella are - they made us feel welcome from the first moment we stepped out of our car and went out of their way to share their home/farm with us and to answer questions and offer suggestions when we asked. They are also very aware of giving their guests privacy and do this with much grace. The products from their farm made a great addition to our meals. This property has been designed with careful and loving attention to detail and is cared for with obvious dedication and commitment...it was an honor to stay in this tranquil and lovely home - we will certainly plan on returning in the future. We had a wonderful time at Villa Renaio. The house and view are more beautiful than the pictures could ever convey. We could have spent our whole time in the yard, around the pool, looking out over the hills and San Gimignano. Being just a 10 minutes drive from an amazing ancient town was fantastic, but the house is also just an hour or so drive from large and small cities we'd planned to visit and so many more we hadn't even heard of but loved. And one of the best parts of the trip was the gracious hosting of Maria and Vittorio (and Ricardo), there whenever we had a question but never intrusive. They are so sweet.

Very Nice facilities! Our room was a good size, the staff was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The location was very convenient for day tripping throughout central Tuscany. The local restaurant was very tasty and convenient. We would highly recommend this property and feel it would meet your expectations of a great Italian Tuscan villa!
